UK based charity, Canning House, whose mission is to build relationships and understanding between the UK, Latin America, and Iberia, have chosen to partner with the LATA Foundation (latafoundation.org) to donate emergency funds to communities most-in-need in Latin America during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In June 2020, the LATA Foundation set up its emergency Covid-19 appeal in a response to the devastating impact the global pandemic is having in Latin America. The appeal provides small grants to a range of charities and organisations that have been severely impacted as a result of the global pandemic.

The LATA Foundation will be hosting its annual pub quiz virtually on Tuesday, 28th of July (19:30 - 21:30) to raise emergency funds for its Covid-19 appeal.

In light of Covid-19, the LATA Foundation is supporting a range of emergency appeals in Latin America with funds being directed to those most in need.

In 2020, the LATA Foundation will be supporting ten core projects across Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

The Latin American Travel Association (LATA) has raised over £5800 for the LATA Foundation projects and the Sol & Luna Association, in its first ‘captains of industry’ lunch.
Organised by LATA and the LATA Foundation in conjunction with the Sol y Luna Association, the event took place on 21 November at Gaucho, Piccadilly, welcoming key members of the UK and Latin American travel industries for a first-of-its-kind fundraising event.

The LATA Foundation has raised over £2000 at its annual travel industry pub quiz which took place on 4 June in central London and was attended by over 90 travel industry guests. All the funds will be invested into the LATA Foundation’s core charity initiatives in Latin America.
