In light of Covid-19, the LATA Foundation is supporting a range of emergency appeals in Latin America with funds being directed to those most in need.
In 2020, the LATA Foundation will be supporting ten core projects across Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
The Latin American Travel Association (LATA) has raised over £5800 for the LATA Foundation projects and the Sol & Luna Association, in its first ‘captains of industry’ lunch.
Organised by LATA and the LATA Foundation in conjunction with the Sol y Luna Association, the event took place on 21 November at Gaucho, Piccadilly, welcoming key members of the UK and Latin American travel industries for a first-of-its-kind fundraising event.
The LATA Foundation has raised over £2000 at its annual travel industry pub quiz which took place on 4 June in central London and was attended by over 90 travel industry guests. All the funds will be invested into the LATA Foundation’s core charity initiatives in Latin America.
The LATA Foundation has confirmed its 2019 charity initiatives focusing on conservation, poverty relief, education and community development. A selection of at least ten core projects will be supported throughout the year as well as one-off contributions to other essential causes.Read more
