Many volunteers at the LATA Foundation have been a part of our journey for many years. Without the dedication and commitment of our volunteers, the LATA Foundation wouldn’t be where it is today. Our volunteers are key players in helping the Foundation reach its strategic goals.

We’re looking for dynamic, committed and passionate people to join us as volunteers. Volunteering with The LATA Foundation offers individuals the opportunity to gain valuable experience that can enhance their careers. Many volunteers have developed lasting professional relationships and friendships within the Foundation, LATA, and the broader Latin American travel community.
We have two core teams of volunteers – our Projects team and our Fundraising and Events team. We also have people that help out on an ad hoc basis with tasks such as website development / content, social media and marketing. Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are of great help too!
Kerry Ann Govier (above), is our Head of Projects and has volunteered with the Foundation for many years now. Requirements
Due to the sporadic nature and frequency of activities and events, we do ask that you volunteer for a minimum of six months, ideally longer. We require approximately 8 hours a month of your time – this may be for calls, teamwork, events, research, outreach or specific tasks you are delegated. We come together a couple times a year for fun informal meet ups and often meet at events such as the LATA Foundation pub quiz and LATA Expo.
Please note, volunteer work is primarily based around activities in the UK, although some tasks can be completed overseas, our annual meetups and events are UK based. We do not provide volunteering opportunities overseas. Please fill out our volunteer application form found below or email info@latafoundation.org.
