On your marks, get set… bake!
The LATA Foundation Bake Off is bringing a slice of friendly competition to LATA member offices during the week commencing 19 October 2026.
For one delicious week, offices across our membership will be transformed into mini Bake Off tents, with Latin American-inspired bake sales, tempting treats and a virtual competition open to everyone. Whether you’re a confident Star Baker in the making or simply keen to have a go, this is your chance to get involved, raise money for the LATA Foundation and celebrate the incredible flavours of Latin America.

Join the Facebook group to share your culinary favourites, recipes and regional specialities that you’re most proud of. We’d love to learn from you and discover the dishes, flavours and traditions from across Latin America.
Need some help?
To help get your creative juices flowing, our volunteer team will be sharing authentic sweet and savoury recipes in the lead-up to the event. Will your showstopper be a batch of melt-in-the-mouth alfajores, a spectacular pastel tres leches, perfectly baked homemade empanadas, or a plate of irresistible brigadeiros? However ambitious your bake, there’s plenty of inspiration to help you earn those all-important handshake-worthy compliments!
Each participating office will host its own bake sale, while bakers from across the LATA community can share photos of their creations in our dedicated Facebook group. There, your signature bakes will go head-to-head as everyone competes for the coveted title of LATA Star Baker 2026.
Working from home? You can join in too! Why not host your own mini Bake Off for friends, family or neighbours and raise some money for the LATA Foundation while you’re at it?
